Asimina Proedrou was born in 1982, in Athens, Greece. She studied music (2001), economics (BA in 2005 and MSc in 2007, both from the Athens University of Economics and Business) and film directing (BA awarded by the Athens Metropolitan College in 2013, and MA from Staffordshire University in 2016).
